Hi all,
I'm Justine, currently in the USA, but contemplating a move to Sharm El-Sheikh, or least buying a property there for us, friends and family. By us, I mean my Egyptian husband of 22 years, and our 2 older kids. I'm not sure we would move permanently to Sharm, due to health needs, but we'd like a place to spend the winter months each year.
Looking forward to getting to know people already there. We'd love to know the best spots to stay or buy apartments/villas. We were just there and saw how much growth is happening!
Take care!
I am from Canada and I am planning on moving to egypt next year the whole world are moving to egypt ...

Hi Justine! Im Marci. Im a 52yr old, RN, in the USA also making my way to Egypt! I'm a grandmother with adult children and have been visiting the country since 2021. Im there at least twice a year - working my way up to 3 times a year. Looking to live there a few months out of the year as well. Just reaching out as you mentioned you are looking to make friends, and so am I! I will be there from June 15-29, 2024 and again from 12/1/24 - 12/26/24. I actually do meditations and small retreats in the desert but am looking to gain some peace and serenity near the ocean. Please, don't be afraid to say hello and let me know if you need any nursing assistance while you are there. I've been a nurse over 25yrs. This is not a service promotion by any means. I really just want to make real friends and have a sense of community while I'm over there. Best to you and your family on your endeavors!
Hi there! I am Marci. I'm a mother, grandmother, and an RN here in the USA. I absolutely love Egypt and am sending a quick salutation to all my fellow expats and wannabe expats! I'm in Egypt a few times a year and would love to make friends and have a sense of community when I go. I wish you all health, joy, and love! Please feel free to send me a quick note anytime to see if we can do walks, exercise, or healthy dinners! I'm open to new friends 🧡
Hi Everyone,
I'm Mona (American) living in Cairo.
I have lived in other cities such as Sharm el Sheikh & Alexandria as well.
I'm recently divorced (American as well) and looking to expand my social circle & network. Thus my reason for joining.
If anyone needs specific details about New Cairo, I can definitely help.
Otherwise, I can help with general inquiries about Egypt if needed.
I look forward to connecting with other expats soon.
@American in Cairo
Welcome on board, Mona !
Glad to have you and thank you for your help.
How do you find Cairo ? Is it a nice city to live in ?
Regards
Bhavna
Hi Mona,
Thanks for your reply. I'm moving to Egypt on October 21 and I decided to live in Alexandria, at least for now. I'm going to rent for now. What do you think about Alexandria vs Cairo, having lived in both cities?
Tony
