No intention to live in China but when opportunity come my way, why not? We only want to explore Shanghai and suburbs together with my family and friends. We will be landing Shanghai on Feb 8, 2024 and be back on Feb 17. Our question goes this way: Do we have to install VPN and Alipay on our cellphones before landing or when arrived at the airport. Please guide us on this. Thanks for those who can suggest and recommend. Thank you in advance

@ismaelariola026 hi there, i'm thomas, chinese, we use VPN to pay a visit to abroad apps, examle: youtube, X, insta. etc.
i think you may need to. however if you want to use Alipay or Wechat pay, you need to connect your bank account to these apps. hope you enjoy visiting shanghai, visiting china.
