Hi all,

What do you think about the means of transportation in Jeddah ?

Is the network of means of transportation well developed?
What modes of transport are available?

Do you use them?

How much is a fare?

Are they relatively safe?

What is the mean of transportation you use the most in Jeddah?

Thanks in advance for participating!

Hi armand

in jeddah you can find an old bus which called 'khattl balda' it is cheap as you will not believe just 2 s.r it rides you in some streets and that streets are written on the two sides of the bus . Khattl balda means city line. There is no air condition.

Another one called taxi which costs between 10-30 depending on the year of taxi , distance and traffic.

For me i use taxi alot even if i have my own car to avoid crazy people in the road and crowded roads. I rearly use bus coz the smell is not that good.

Bus costs 2 S.R.
Taxi costs 10-30 S.R.

Yeah so safe.

I use taxi

hope this help

best of luck

there is no good transportation in Jeddah.
no metro
no train
just taxi

and old buses they are really bad and worst than you could imagine.
not clean, smelly, broken seats, drug abuse drivers, drive crazily.

I hope have metro here from all areas of Jeddah to downtown .

u guys forgot the Saptco bus service which is not as frequent as the small mini buses but the buses r clean n air conditioned.

Travelling in the small ones is one kind of an experience also.

I mostly use my car or taxi.

Metro is in the beginning stages in Jeddah and Riyadh.
They need one in Dammam and Buraidah too.

They also need a public transportation in Asir region.
They can call it Asir metro
