Onshore Mauritian company not being a tax resident there

leogaudinoff

Hello everyone,

There is an interesting point of the Franco-Mauritian tax convention about dividends: put simply, it allows French tax residents receiving dividends from a Mauritian company to do some legal tax optimization (c.f. odessa-avocats.fr/blog/dividendes-maurice-credit-impot for more details).

This implies having a Mauritian onshore company as a French tax resident, therefore not living in Mauritius.

Could you guys give me your opinion on the feasibility and legality of this (owning a company in Mauritius without living there) from the Mauritian point of view, without using an Authorized Company or similar?

Thanks in advance!
