It looks a lot like Mr. Prabowo is about to become President Prabowo by a large margin.
However, there are are a number of reports of naughty this, that, and the other.
The ones likely to be true are carried by lots of news outlets, and appear to be minor at this point.
There are also a few only reported in just one or two papers, those that have supported one particular candidate.
The trick is to Google every anti-democracy story you see.
If a lot of outlets are carrying it, there's a fair chance it's a reasonable complaint.
If it's just one or two, it's probably crap - More so if those outlets have a history of supporting one candidate (If you're really good with Google, see who owns them then take a peek who those people are conected with)
My personal (but rather limited) direct experience suggests the elections were pretty much fair.
I wasn't offered any bribes.
I watched one station for a few hours - Everything was run as it should be. KTPs were checked, and everyone was checked against the voter list.
I watched one small count (On my estate). All the votes I saw were marked down as the holes in the papers said they should be.
I've every confidence there would have been some bribing/vote buying, but there's a very good chance that would have been local candidates rather than for the president.
The 'not able to vote' complints I have heard of were mostly people who held a non-local idntitiy card and hadn't made the correct arrangements to vote - Their fault, not rigging.
Add the massive lead that would have been very difficult to 'fix', and it looks like a fair election.
I have to be honest and say I'm surprised at the number Anies managed. I don't know anyone who wanted him in the big job. My area has a lot of Chinese ethnic families, and the comments I heard is they hated him as they saw him as a racist. My favourite hang out coffee shop lot echoed that.
Locals in my estate are mostly Christian and Buddhist who are were pro-Ganjar. However, even here, Prabowo was notably ahead of Ganjar.
Anies was the joke candidate in both of the areas I watched.
In this estate, out of a few hundred votes, he managed six.
In the other, it was all Prabowo with a fair bit of Ganjar. Anies voters were few and far between. That was a mostly Muslim area so the latter's 'I'm the candidate for Muslims' position doesn't seem to have taken.
The next few weeks will be interesting. Ganjar (so far) is being a gentleman. The reaction from Mr. Anies will be interesting, but i suspect there's a story behing that. I enjoy reading the news from a lot of international outlets, and there's something in the air.
The trick is to see who is paid for by whom.
@Fred In my area everyone love Mr. Anies but this is normal. Chinese want to see number 3 (Ganjar) as president.
http://www.thejakartapost.com/indonesia … -vote.html
A story about people being unable to vote because they live away from their home area. That's their fault as they didn't make arragements to vote. My estate WA group had intructions how non-local KTP residents could vote here.
I didn't bother as voting was a family occasion for us and my area is only 40 minutes away.
The story is in just the one paper I've seen so far (including Indonesian language outlets)
@Fred WE NEED SOMEONE WHO ARE BETTER FOR THE COUNTRY BUT IF SOMEONE COME WITH RIGGING ELECTION THEN IS BAD FOR THE COUNTRY. I HOPE EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY. THANK YOU.

I gather he was popular in some areas, but it appears not in most.
I took a photo of the final list here (Lots of Chinese Indonesians/Christians/Buddhists), and he was a very weak third.
The other I mentioned is pretty much 100% Muslim - Anies supporters were few and far between.
My wife was in the next booth when I asked her a question about something. The election officials were there like a shot in case something odd was happening.
My limited experience suggests the election was run properly.

It would be lovely if you avoided CAPS LOCK
The stories are only being carried by one paper so far, so their accuracy is questionable on the gorunds it would be a massive story so all would run it.
If a lot of papers carry such things, I'll be more inclined to believe them.
I’ve had some very mixed feelings about all the articles I read in Jakarta Post over the last couple of months, concerning the elections and the candidates.
I also have the feeling that this was a fair election, as the country (lead by Mr Jokowi) has been doing good over the last decade … and that's just what people want to continue … certainly the younger generations.
I believe the election was run well and, apart from a few glitches that won't change the outcome, All went well.
It looks like son to be President Prabowo won fair and square.
Not everyone will like that, but it looks like it's true.
We are lucky in many ways, one being the press is politically neutral. That means we don't have to sift through the rubbish in order to get to real news.
The UK has the Guardian against the Mail, as the US has CNN against Fox, but we have far less of the crap to ignore.
When a paper pushes an agenda, it destroys its own reputation as a reliable purveyor of news.
I have been watching the post change over the years from a paper I could trust, to one I ignore more and more.
It hardly matters if I agree with any given story, but it does matter that the paper publishes in good faith.
I have not had the chance to read the papers today but, if the Jakarta post's articles aren't in other outlets, they have to be ignored and assumed to be politically inspired.
On a personal note, the small sample I witnessed shows the electoral commission did a great job at keeping things free and fair.
The other side of the coin harps back to a story from some months ago. I looked at that and didn't like what I found.
We'll see what happens with that one. If it shows its ugly head, I'll post details here.
@Fred. Good Morning, How are you?. who wins the Election? and what's Indonesia's future? I have been living since Jun 2021 but still need to learn many things. If the president comes from the people's vote, then the future of the country is bright. Best wishes to everyone. Thank you

We only hae quick count results so nothing is set in stone. However, the winning team is way too far ahead of the second (About double the votes) so nt a lot is likely to change.
It's possible (but unlikely) Prabowo's share could drop below the 50% required for outright victory in the full count.
Prabowo almost won the game twice before, and there were no serious challengers this time.
I'm inclined to believe the results are fair and true.
@Fred. Okay will see and good luck to the country. Thank you

Oh for goodness sake. Many Asians vote with their hearts rather than their heads. Social media has heavily influenced the young in their perceptions of politicians. Thats why Prabowo took to Tiktok - that 'Paragon of informed taste' Did you see him 'dancing' ? I hope not.
This guy has 'form' and questions to answer when he worked as henchman to Suharto. His election in my humble opinion is a set back for Indonesian democracy.

-@Lotus Eater
The man has alleged form.
Are the stories true? Possibly to probably for a number of them, but he has never been convicted of anything.
However. regardless of the country in question, perceptions are normally more powerful than truths.
Propaganda can be even worse as it can destabilise a peaceful country and cause conflict where there was none.
Watch this space for that one, but read international news outlets.
There's an undercurrent of something going on, and it isn't nice .. if my suspicions prove accurate and free from Tin foil hats
