Neurodivergent diagnosis transfer?

My spouse and I are currently going through the diagnosis process to be diagnosed for neurodiversities. We know, and everyone else knows that we are neurodivergent, but we, unfortunately, need a doctor to validate it and then we can get help. My question is: Can we transfer our diagnoses when we move to the netherlands, or will be have to get diagnosed all over again?

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

My advice would be to speak to your current specialist physician and tell them you are planning to move to the Netherlands and ask if he has any contacts there that can help you with advice in the Netherlands.  Also ask them, for a letter of introduction (including a copy of any prescription you currently use) that you can show to your Dutch GP (all specialist medical support begins and ends with your GP), and they can refer you to the right person.

A quick Google search has come up with this link for the Dutch Neurodivergence Society, and this link for a specialist who may be able to help you.

As with all things you read on the Internet, buyer beware; people may not be what they purport to be.

I hope this helps.

Thank you!

Yeah, Can't speak specifically about this diagnosis but when I came over my doc used some of my diagnoses basically as a head start, you might still need to go through some testing but if you have the paperwork to give them there will hopefully be less hoops to jump through.
