Permanent residence card L Processing times

Post new topic

fabowuapp

Is there any forum page that I can find the processing times of other members when they applied for card L?

My husband applied for card L on September 3, 2023 but we have not received any information about it. We called immigration this week (https://dofi.ibz.be/nl/contact) and they said there is no decision yet and we should call the commune.

I heard that decisions are made by 5 months else it is given. Is that still the case?

Does anyone has an experience to share?

Update on my husband's situation

- September 3, 2023 : Card L application

- March 27, 2024 : He received an email from the commune to come and pay for the card itself.

- March 28, 2024 : He went to the commune. He paid 24 euros and is waiting for the code to be sent via post.

I will inform you guys when he picks up the card itself.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Is it true that card L is valid for 10 years now? He seem to have seen that at the commune.

@fabowuapp

He had the physical card this week. It is valid for 10 years. It took about 8 months from application to obtaining the physical card.

I received approval exactly on completion of 5 months.
