Here is my story am spanish national came to belgium and registered myself at brussels commune november 11th 2023, last year start working a week later, the shared apartment was not comfortable had to move to wetteren the month of march had my resident permitte on the 25th of march 2024, same weekend on the 30th of march I was stoped by the police to pay a fine of 50 euros or they impound the car, afterwards they took my spanish plate number for not having belgium number, in these case can I file a lawsuit againt them because I read here I have 6 month to change my plate number after gemeente address etc its been 4 months since I did registration at brussels commune and had my residence 5 days ago, can someone tell me something meaningful because I cant believe these is europe and I think they should give me a time limit not strand me and kids on the road...
I need someone t tellme if what the police did was lawful.
