Hello, I'm interested in moving to The Algarve to retire. I am 1st British Citizen, then moved to USA 1985, I'm also an American Citizen. I don't know how being both will work on me being able to reside there.

I understand I need to apply for a D7 Visa. I would like to know the steps I need to take for my move to happen. I appreciate all advice, suggestions and recommendations you have to offer from your experiences. Thank you.

Hi.  First, you apply from the country where you are a legal resident.  That's the only country that matters to Portugal.  Join the FB group Americans & Friends PT.  You can diy the entire process using their info.
