@Nisusoka Hi, I am married with a Filipina too and I got married here in the Philippines. There was no need to go to the embassy before marriage. Here the short version what you need

Your GF:

  • CENOMAR (from PSA)
  • Birth Cerftificate

You:

  • A document from your civil registry in Belgium or from the embassy that you can get married (must be in English)
  • Your birth Certificate (in English)
  • If you ever have been married, the divorce paper from Belgium (can be in any language)

Next:

When you have these documents collected, you go to the civil registar of your town in the Philippines and request the marriage licence.

You will have to attend a morning course with your GF what is important in the marriage.

After 10 days you will get the licence to get married.

Now you can plan where to take the civil wedding. This might be the mayor of your city.

After the civil wedding is done, the licence to get married get signed by the mayor and sent to the PSA

Waiting:

Depending on PSA workload and how nice and often you ask them about your marriage contract, you can expect to get it between 3 weeks and 3 months.

The Apostille from the DFA

As soon as you have the marriage contract you need to make an appointment with the DFA to get the apostille on the marriage contract. Your embassy

needs that to register your wedding and this requires the apostille.

Passport:

Your wife will need a new passport as her name and the civil status has changed.

Visa for you:

If you want to stay here in the Philippines, you can apply for the 13a visa (marriage visa) and you can stay here unlimited.

Visa  for your wife - short term:

If you want to show her Europe, you can request a Schengen Visa for her easily. Make sure you fill in the document correctly. Some fields are to be left out

if the partner is from the EU.  This visa is easy to get.

Visa for your wife - long term:

You can get this at the consulate only and it is a D visa.

This is country dependent. The biggest issue is here the language requirement and to pass the test.

Your wife might speak English but her French or Dutch might be limited. So she will have to attend classes every day when you take her to Belgium.

If she fails the test, they might not extend the visa.

Good luck and keep us updated. This might help others in the same situation.

@Andy_1963 hello tnx for ur reply, we are getting married from the court which is the judge will innitiate our wedding, but why they also asked my fiance to fill up the LCC from the embassy which is they also need to interviewed us, i really dnt understand.

Andy_1963

So the LCC might be a document which is needed that the marriage gets registered in Belgium. I also had to fill in some documents with my wife at the Austrian embassy after the marriage contract got the Apostille.

There was no interview. They did not even go out of their office.

Nisusoka

Maybe its not the same requirements for us... In civil they asked me for lcc
