Dear David,

The “special identity card for foreigners of Hellenic origin” is something very “specific”.

The best advice is to go to your nearest Greek consulate and ask them how to apply.

It is also advisable to consult a lawyer, as this procedure is not so “automatic”. In other words, having a Greek name may not be considered to be enough... it's also a question of language, culture, religion and so on.

I'd like to get dual citizenship...I'm second generation Greek American but don't know anyone to ask
