Hi, a friend  is about  to rent an  apartment  to Cypriots for a year through  a agency. Someone  has said not to take Cypriots, as they wont pay and will have trouble  getting  them to leave  at the end of tenancy,  I dont believe  this , has anyone  had trouble

Same rules apply to renting your house anywhere.  Can't get anyone to leave if you don't have a solid contract. Always increase the rent at the end of the year and  renew the contract.  I have know of British people who wouldn't leave as the contract wasn't done.  Same as anywhere-  get references and check them out online (might need someone who is Cypriot to do that).  Healthy deposit too.  Also if not in the country ask someone near by to keep you in touch with anything that happens eg. if they suddenly leave.

I understand  they are paying  3 months in advance   hopefully  the agency  will do all that .I think people  were trying  to put my  friend  off . Thankyou  for your  reply.
