funny.. I have actually asked around about that... most Ticos have ZERO interest in the olympics. ??? If there's no soccer, or rodeo where the drunks from the crowd are allowed into the 'ring' at the end of the rodeo to get chased and sometimes, because they're drunk, get gored or trampled by an angry bull... then the Ticos ain't watching. It's a big crowd pleaser... and one of my favorite things about CR.

Costa Rica esta muy peligroso.

But I do like those Olympic 'sports' that nobody has ever played... like Race Walking; and Rythmic

Gymnastics.

Whatever happened to Baseball??

I think the Olympics are boring, i'm a team sports person and none of the sports they play in the Olympics interest me, so I would never watch them (not at all a basketball fan) and I'm in the heart of the United States right now. I certainly will not miss them when I move to CR.

That may be just me but I don't personally know anybody who follows the Olympics. It's just an occasion for lots of commercials and advertisements on television in our country. Other countries may take it seriously because they think it elevates their status in the world, but the US really doesn't see it that way.

I just heard that they have Break Dancing in the Olympics now... so I'm all in!! But I still wonder what happened to Baseball??
