Broken fire alarm in condo building

Hello

There are two fire alarms on my floor, and they are both broken. So I thought, maybe I will look at the rest of the floors, and they are all broken on every floor.

Are there fire Marshalls in Thailand that I could report this to? I understand the buildings and the walls are made of cement, but the darn fire alarm should be in working condition. I have been asking for a year now for my floor for the alarms to be repaired.

Twice, a year I pay 12,000 for maintenance fees. I would hope that it's going for building maintenance and not just lining someone's pockets.

I Googled this, but all I got was firefighters and rescue teams.

What are my options?

@scbrock

I believe condo buildings have a management team or a team of representatives for the owners?

That would be the way to go

2nd option I.can think of is putting a circular through all mailboxes.

3d Email. So you have your complaint in writing

4th go to nearest firestation and ask

5th email your insurer

Good.luck

To be honest, I don't know about any management team for the owners.

There aren't any mail boxes for the tenants Which makes it pretty dicey getting mail on time because it often gets lost. I've had them all of a sudden find mail that were credit cards that they had for months.

I have my complaint in whatsapp but email may be more mainstream.

I think going to the nearest fire station may be a good option.

As an aside, I find it frustrating that the building is near full of tenants so they aren't hurting for Money. They're just not taking care of the building maintenance as they should.

Thanks for your response it was helpful

If you have bought the condo, it will all be mentioned in the contract, if you have rented the owner should know

Legally a condo has to have a management that consists of owners in the 51/49 calculation

No mailboxes is even more funny/awkward as all owners have different addresses, what about the water and electricity bills are they genuine from'

the water and electric authority??

I think you have some work to do, sorry

There are definitely owners here. Many of them don't seem to pay their bills as they have what appears to be forclosure papers tack to their door.

I understand about the fifty one forty nine. Unfortunately mine is the the leasehold variety. I am told this is more difficult to sell.

If there is an organized Owners association i'm not aware of it.
