Salman Naseer

@Julien Hello , I'm excited to join this community and share my story. My name is Salman Naseer, and I'm a seasoned professional from Pakistan, currently residing in the UAE. With a strong background in Engineering (BTECH HND) and over 17 years of experience in the paper industry and burglar alarm systems, I'm looking to leverage my skills and expertise to start a new venture in the Luxembourg.

My experience in the paper industry has equipped me with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management. Additionally, my expertise in burglar alarm systems has given me a strong foundation in security solutions and project management.

I'm now eager to explore opportunities in the Luxembourg, particularly in the tech industry, and potentially start a small business or job that combines my engineering background with my passion for innovation. I'm interested in connecting with like-minded entrepreneurs, industry experts, and potential partners to explore opportunities in this market.

I'm excited to learn more about the Luxembourg's thriving startup ecosystem, and I'm confident that my international experience, combined with my technical expertise, will enable me to make a valuable contribution to the business community.

I look forward to sharing my experiences, learning from others, and potentially calling the Luxembourg my new home. Thank you for the warm welcome, and I'm excited to be part of this community.

Warmly,

Salman

Hello @Shah99 and @Chike Ukaegbu,

We are not a job search agency. Have you seen my replies to the posts #5, #18, #29, #30 and #37 ?

Here is a summary of information on how to find a job in Luxembourg:

  • Overall, the guide is full of useful information about the country, and I strongly encourage you to read all the articles on topics that may interest or concern you

  • Here you will find a list of jobs in high demand in Luxembourg, for which it is easier to obtain visas for people coming from outside the EU.

Finally, here are some tips for tailoring your CV and cover letter for the country:

  • CV Length: Your CV should not exceed two pages, and if you can fit it onto one page, that's even better!
  • Prioritize Professional Experience: In Luxembourg, professional experience often holds more weight than academic qualifications. I suggest placing your work experiences at the top of your CV. Be sure to clearly indicate the number of months or years you spent in each role. That said, it depends on the job you are applying for. The goal is for employers to see within 10 seconds that you're qualified for the job, whether through your qualifications, experience, or both. Highlight whichever aspect is most relevant, depending on your situation and the job you're applying for.
  • Profile:it's standard practice in Luxembourg to start your CV with a “My Profile” section that summarizes your background, why you're qualified, and what you have to offer. Generally, this section is about 5-6 lines long, with important keywords in bold. If you don't have this section on your CV, I suggest you add it.
  • Tailor your CV to each Job Application:For every application, at least change the title of your CV and rearrange your work experiences or qualifications so that the most relevant ones comes first. Again, the idea is for recruiters to quickly see that you're a good match for the position. If none of your work experiences directly relate to the job, emphasize transferable skills that are relevant to the role
  • Languages: Language skills are very important in Luxembourg. French, German, and Luxembourgish are the country's official languages, and English is often an added advantage. Any other language can also be a significant asset in your application. I recommend clearly highlighting all the languages you speak, including your native language, and the ones you might be currently learning (or ready to learn) and indicating your proficiency level for each (A1, A2, B1, B2, etc.). Adding that you are willing to learn any langages that might be useful for the job is also a good idea.
  • Emphasize your motivation to move to Luxembourg:clearly explain why you want to move to Luxembourg. Focus on the fact that you are looking for a long-term job and that you plan to settle in Luxembourg for the long term.
  • Demonstrate Long-Term Commitment:Companies in Luxembourg face recruitment challenges because there are more open positions than candidates. One of the major issues is that many people take a job and then leave after a few weeks or months. By showing that you are seeking a stable, long-term position, you increase your chances of being hired.

Here are all my advice! 1f60a.svg Does anyone want to add any other recommendation?

If you still have questions after reading all the articles and checking all the websites I just gave you, please feel free to ask them.

Thank you!

How do I get Horticulture jobs or farm jobs in Luxembourg,,,

Lauranne

@victorface4real

Hi Victor,

I shared a few links in this topic about farm jobs. But I have to say that there aren’t many farm jobs in Luxembourg. It’s no longer the country’s main activity, and farms here are generally family-owned, so it’s usually the families themselves who work there.

Hope this help!
