Changing my mind to company B while EP is on hold with company A

I was signed to Company A on May 14 to start on August 8, but my Employment Pass (EP) application has been on hold due to a SOCSO approval requirement. On August 7, I signed a new offer with them, wherein my start date is moved to September 9.

Given the ongoing delays with my EP/visa processing (due to the company being unable to get the SOCSO approval for 1.5 months) and personal financial constraints, I reached out to Company B, which had previously expressed interest but couldn’t extend an offer due to restructuring. Now that they have stabilized, they are still eager to hire me and are offering a higher salary than Company A. I've decided to proceed with them and am currently awaiting their offer letter.

Recently, I learned that Company A has resubmitted my EP with the SOCSO approval. However, since I’m currently in Malaysia, they expect the application might be returned, requiring an updated exit stamp. I'm unsure about the current status of my EP application with Company A, but I doubt it has been approved yet.

I’m considering delaying my EP application with Company A until I receive and sign the offer letter from Company B. Once I do, I plan to inform Company A that I no longer wish to proceed with them.

Could there be any issues later when Company B applies for my EP?
