Please, can I apply for a work visa while holding a tourist visa in Maldives? Furthermore, if I am to apply for a work visa and my work permit, what are the processes and how much is involved?

No. A work visa in the Maldives, as I understand it, is applied for by the employer, not by the foreign employee.

You must find employment first. The employer will then liaise directly with Maldives immigration.

Your profile shows you as being a Vietnamese citizen. Is this correct? If so, it's my understanding that you can visit the Maldives and obtain a 30-day VOA (visa on arrival) at one of the international airports there.

You could also apply directly to one of the Maldives embassies near to Vietnam. There is no Maldives embassy, nor consulate office, in Vietnam. Online eVisa applications from Vietnamese citizens are not available.
