Application for child's SS benefits

Ok so after the phone interview we were told that they will be sending out a field agent to finish my application. We asked when would that be and we were told that they only had one person doing it and it may be months before they will be in my area.We live in the Dumaguete area and others ae saying they never had to do that. Has anyone experienced this? We are left toatly up in the air with no definable time frame

Yes, it can take months from what I have heard, and that was to Cebu, where the US Embassy has a field office (only limited services). It might be better to go there to Manila if they will do that. I replied with more detail to your other post.
