Hi everyone

I'm a Nigerian with over 20years of experience as a baker. I've read the DAMA Occupational list for south Australia and I am eligible using visa 482, I need someone who can guide me on the vetassess assessment. I don't have a certificate to back up my experience but I know my onion.

Are you sure you need an assessment with  Vetassess, I learnt most jobs on DAMA do not require that

you did not learn correctly ! Whether a person needs a skills assessment or not is dependent on their nationality.

Despite this, most employers regard the skills assessment as one good indicator that the person can meet the skills required for the job, given that it can not be tested through an online interview.

Even if the person is unable to obtain the skills assessment through TRA due to their nationality, they are encouraged to undergo the recognition of prior learning process to obtain the relevant Australian Certificate III qualification.   With this the employer has a greater degree of confidence that the person has the skills required for their business.

As well, all candidates must understand that it is a global market place; candidates without skills assessments are unlikely to be preferred compared to candidates that have the skills assessment.  Skills assessments make candidates more competitive.
