Hi all!

My wife and I are strongly considering moving to Japan. I’m retired from both the USAF and Federal service. I’m 63 and in great health. She’s 54 and in great health too. We’ve spoken to a lawyer and would most likely be approved for a business management visa.

she ia a creative type and has worked extensively in art and the film industry. Her art brought us to Japan for 3 months and we are thinking about jumping through the hoops required to stay long term but don’t know any of the downsides to life in Japan.

We’re having a blast in Kyoto but only see enough to be tempted. We would love to hear about the drawbacks to living in Japan.
