could someone tell me what is the Best strategy in terms of

- Declaring  the uk pension

- Getting iit through some account like WISE or another system  to avoid the costs in change and bank charges

Would.someone be kind.enough to share their expérience..

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

You'll find all the information you need on how to claim your UK state pension on the UK Gov website; this link will take you straight to it. There are links within the site that will take you to different parts that will answer your questions.

Hopefully, somebody who has personally experienced your situation will post some further information shortly.

I hope this helps.

There is also a HelpLine to ring, but it takes about an hour to actually speak to someone. Best is to phone them 1st thing in the morning should you need assistance.

Spot on.  I was living in the UK when I claimed my state pension and it was surprisingly easy.

Thanks for your reply but in fact my question is not so much about claiming the pension but the strategy  around the costs of transfering the pensions to France...

I would open an account with something like Wise and then transfer the money to your French bank account.
