has anyone use Thai Visa Expert for retirement assistance?

For Eastern Europe, is retirement process the same as I expect they might make me jump some hoops. I am considering a Visa Agent to help guide the matter. Are they powered to complete the process or is a Thai attorney better option?

Neither an agent nor an attorney will smooth anything as the requirements remain the same. If you cannot meet the requirements (no hoops here) than an agent can be a solution, but it is nit advisable

Martin thank you. I do not have Thai bank account yet, but I have money enough.. I see also Baan Thai Immigration is a popular lawyer. Do you mean neither will help much?

The procedure remains the same, Any advisor will not smoothen the requirements, but they will all charge a hefty fee.....

Just go.to immigration and pick up the list of documents you have to provide. If there are questions on which exactly we can advise.

Again thank you. Here is what Thai Visa Expert provided if others may be interested. I will speak with Thai Immigration office in person to confirm all after I arrive.

O Visa (Retirement)

Many retirees wish to stay in Thailand for long term without having to do border runs and visa runs, in which case they can apply for a Non Immigrant O (Retirement) Single Entry Visa before arriving in Thailand or inside Thailand even if you have entered Thailand on a Tourist Visa or at least with Exempt Visa stamp. The visa holder will often apply for Visa extension based on Retirement when in the Kingdom, which will enable them to stay for longer (see below). However, for this initial application, you will need the following documents:

  1. Proof that you are 50 years or older (your passport will suffice)
  2. Sufficient funds in your Thai Bank account not less than THB 800,000.
  3. Notification of Residence in Thailand (TM 30 Receipt)
  4. Proof that you have the financial means to support yourself and your Thai family

Thai Visa Expert specializes in obtaining Non Immigrant O Retirement Visa inside Thailand at Bangkok Immigration (Chaengwattana). Non Immigrant O (Retirement) Visa is valid for 3 months and Extension of stay is valid for another 12 months. The total duration of stay you will get is for 15 months. If you are a frequent flyer, you can add a Multiple Re-entry Permit to your stay which will allow you to fly in and out of Thailand as many times as you want. If you don’t travel at all, you can stay in Thailand straight for a year but you will have to notify your address at a local Immigration office every 90 days.

You can not.ask for any form of VISA first time in Thailand.  You need.to get the NON o 3 konths validaty (retirement) at.embassy or.consulate near you. This you can extend to 12 mo and re extend annually.

Residency through ownership from.whom you rent is.mandadatory, TM 30 is not required anymore. Funding is stated correct needs to be in account 2.montha before extend in Thailand. BUT for the.temp.visa.you need to show funding or income (65.000.THB or US .equivalent.

Check thaievisa.go.th for all possibilities..

If.you come.on Visa excemot you cannot apply in Thailand, you will need to travel to nearest.embassy and spend money and time.

There is where there scam starts....
