Opal dental clinic close to the Tentrem hotel where I stayed.

Modern facilities and the dental nurses are to die for ;)

Your best bet is probably google maps.

Pictures say a lot, and their reviews are commonly very helpful.

If it looks like a 1960s English NHS dentist, don't.

Eriks Dutch so that’s a non starter. I remember the bunson burner thingy next to the Dentists chair which I assume was for sterilization purposes.

If I had a milk tooth extraction my Dentist would give me a braided penny ‘medal’

That Opal clinic looks indeed very modern, and clean (on their website).

However, we have been to dentists that had a good-looking website, and great reviews on Google, but were terrible!

May give it a try next time ...

@Fred, int he Netherlands we used to have "school-dentists", where we were brought to from school, all children in one big bus ... I believe these may have been similar as what you refer to in England .... terrible experiences with these guys!  ;)

Thanks guys!

Visits to NHS dentists were traumatic experiences that have scared me for life. I've ridden a motorcycle at 200 kph on a public road, engaged in full contact fighting against people who put their fists through concrete blocks, and jumped out of aircraft, but I shake like a bloody leaf when I visit a dentist.

My only positive experiences were with a young female dentists who always worked from above your head so she could rub her breasts on your cranium. She had quite the reputation  at school. I think she got off by watching trousers expand as she worked. None of us complained at what was clearly mild sexual abuse, but what teenage boy would?
