Hi Guys,

I am a new member on here and wanted to say HI.  Im currently living in the Uk but have spent alot of time travelling in South East Asia.  I have worked in the IT sector in Financial Services for 10 years or so now.

In 12 months i will be made redundant with a years salary and im considering the expat life because i feel really comfortable and excited when in Asia.  So much so that i never want to return home.  I have applied for a few vacancies in Singapore but never had any responses other than you have not been successful.

Im guessing that its best to actually be in the country so i was wondering if anyone could give me some much needed advice please? When i am given my redundancy i am thinking of heading to singapore for a couple of months on a holiday come job searching trip with my beach shorts and suit in tow.

Any advice or sharing your ecxperiences would be greatly appreciated guys.

Peace - Matt

The market is quite tough now . Lots of banks "letting people go" but if you have plenty of time and patience you can try.
But don't expect for fast results IMHO
