Hi my name is Glenn from Winnipeg and we r having an miserable[ flooding]spring following an absolute frigid winter . Our kids are getting older and every year i tell my wife that we should sell it all and move to mexico . Of course she is the sensible one and i am the dreamer ... or i am ???Can anyone comment on their dreams or are there more nightmares out there ????

Dreams are great, but one def. needs to check the facts when one wants to make them come true

Check the regions where you would like to settle, take a vacation there, maybe longer than 2 weeks, go off the tourist roads, if you can, talk to the locals,...

thx for the reply's . i must realize that i am blogging with expat's already and you have all done your own DD and made the life altering decision . i am ultra conservative in my ways and will do some very thorough homework in the next few years .

I just have seen so many people try to jump in cold water without knowing anything for real about the place they go to (especially Germans...)
