Homestay for a month in Jakarta

first u have to know where u gonna stay at jakarta? average cost for homestay is 1 million until 2 million located at central jakarta. but if u will stay at west jakarta, will find more cheaper for the cost.for the hotel try to chrysant hotel but that hotel locate aj west jakarta

I am coming on Economical budget, 200$ 0r 250$ would be a reasonable amount for furnished room for one month stay.I got feedback from other that kemang is a good place to stay.
some mention a kost, where i can find a kost around 200$ in good condition and good location.
any budget hotels are welcome around central area.

Location is everything in Jakarta because the traffic is so bad.
Be as close as you can to work and you'll get far fewer headaches.

Thanks for all helps& usefull info exchanges with each other.I agree with Mas Fred.u have to calculate ur transport charges &ur precious time being wasted in traffic.When heading to decide for ur location get a pencil a piece of paper calculate carefully.u will surely find out tt some places seeming bit expensive,are cheaper in fact. Another major thing is tt u can save also ur energi to spend on better learning &better work  causing better outcom/more satisfactory  output if u are not trapped in the hell(traffic jam)twice a day.
Consider CLEANLINESS& SAFETY of ur homestay when in Jakarta

Where do you want to stay in Jakarta? Which area?

In Kemang area, there is like apartment, full furnish, IDR3.500.000/ month or USD390
In Setiabudi area, also like that, maybe a little bit expensive
But in this area you have a kit of choices, from IDR850.000/ per month or USD95 (non AC, Bathroom share with other, only get room, bed, and cupboard, sometime they give you a table) - more
Middle around IDR1.700.000/ month or USD190 (AC, bigger size room, TV or without TV, cable, bed, table, cupboard, own bathroom).

In Pondok Indah area, there is  IDR2.500.000/ month or USD279 (furnish, AC, Kitchen, Bathroom)
