Hi all,

we invite you to share your experience about moving to Montenegro.

Here is a list of questions which might help the ones preparing their move to Montenegro:

What would you bring and what would you leave behind?

Is it a good idea to bring furniture or domestic appliances?

Any foodstuffs that are banned in Montenegro?

Is it better to bring a car or to buy one once settled in Montenegro?

Any advice for the ones who are moving to Montenegro?

Thank you in advance for your participation :)

Hi Julie,

at this moment you don't need to bring here a TV-set or your favourite fridge - not like five years ago :) Now I have only a couple of things I need to order from outside: a good tea (not in a bags) and some habitual medicine.

About a car. As a foreigner in Montenegro, you can drive a car with any registration, it may be cheaper than to buy a car here and to get a 'ME' licence plate. For example, last three years I'm driving british car (so many of my friends), now I order new one in Italy. Lot of expats drives american cars. You only paying insurance about €220/year.

Hope it helps to someone :)
