movin to Saudi

Post new topic

Hi
I'm movin to Saudi in the next 6 weeks with my 8 year old son, my husband is already there I was wondering is it as bleak as it's made out while the hubbies at work and my son is at school, don't know were we will be stayin yet so I surpose it will all depend on that

It's not bleak once you know where to look. Adjusting to new climates (both cultural and meteorological) is extremely difficult, even if you were to move from London to Norwich! You needn't necessarily live in a compound, you could choose to live in a flat -- either way, you need to build up a group of friends (don't be afraid of mixing with the locals or Arab expats.. no need to be racist or frightened) and take it from there. Should you need any information, the forum is the best place to post a question. Also, members are really friendly and are willing to answer most questions rather quickly :)

The beginning on any thing is always difficult. As time goes on, you'll adjust to the environment. Welcome :)
