Hajj from Japan in shaa Allah.

al hamdulillah

Assalam alaikum,

I am planning to make hajj this year in shaa Allah. So, I have few questions I would like to ask. My itinerary is Tokyo to Dubai to Ryiad to Jeddah. First, from which airport should i wear the ihram?

Second, I am not traveling with a group nor have a hotel reservation. Do the Saudi authorities tolerate people making hajj on their own and make i3tikaf?

Third and last, I've always had this desire/dream to walk to Mecca al mukarrama. And since jedda is my point of entry to Saudia. In terms of the authorities and previous cases. Is it possible to walk from jedda to Mecca al mukarrama? taking on consideration the distance and the dificulty of the trip.

I would love to add this has nothing to do with money or cutting corners . It's purely for the sake of Allah.

Thank you so much for taking the time and reading this long post:). Your answers are greatly appreciated and May Allah reward you. He is the most knowing and most wise.

Jazakum Allah kheir.

You can't go to hajj individually you should have hajj permission card and its available from  the tourism company that handle the accommodation and transportation to and through makkah.

jeddah to makkah is around 80 km , you can walk it but not in hajj season, no one enter makkah without that permission

Wish you luck

Wa alaikom assalaam,

Migoan answered your second and third questions correctly. If you're not coming to Saudi Arabia with Hajj visa, you are not allowed to perform Hajj according to Saudi law. Of course there are workarounds. And if you are a Japanese, I don't think you would be arrested for trying to perform Hajj without a permission.

Now to your questions: iharaam.
First let me explain the Ihraam is the initiation of the Hajj process, which includes wearing the two pieces of cloth, uncovering your head, not cutting your hair ... etc.
I recommend that you wear ihraam outfit in Riyadh before you go on the plane. You will not do ihraam until the pilot announces that you are at or near Al-Miqaat (the place were you do ihraam), then, and only then, you will say "labbaika Allahomma Hajjan, ... etc" and your Hajj process starts.
