Licenses which were earlier given for stand-alone bars have all been revoked. So you have to head necessarily to licensed places if you wish to have a drink.
All 5-star properties and lesser have their own set of night clubs, discotheques, pubs and live music joints. Also check out Rock-Bottom and Zouk which are both near the Shatti beach neighbourhood.
