Hi,

passing a job interview in Ireland can be a stressful moment, especially you are not familiar with the cultural and professional codes of the country.

How to successfully pass a job interview in Ireland ?

What happens during the interview ?

What are the do's and don'ts during a job interview in Ireland : what to say or not, what to wear, how to behave ?

Thank you in advance for sharing your experience with us !

Julie,
I have nothing but empathy for you if you experienced the ludricous interview system in Ireland. it must be clear to you at this stage that hiring is based on your personality, the outfit you are wearing and your age.
Your qualifications, reputation and work experience come far behind.
You may also have had the 'pleasure' of encountering a group interview where 2 or 3 interviewers(who will not have introduced themselves) interview apx. 3  applicants at the same time.
So you get to learn a lot more about your fellow applicants than you really want to know.
Then there is the hiring of employees on a trial basis where you may work for several days as a 'per diem' employee but never get paid. That practice is widespread in Ireland.
These serious flaws in Irish culture have yet to be tackled by the media and society in general.
                           Good luck there....
