American Books (in English) in Suzhou

I find that using the iPad is the best solution in conjunction with iBooks or other online sources for downloading eBooks/pdfs. Although payment can be a little tricky, lucky I still have my UK account set up, if not you might need to pay with credit card or set up a Chinese Apple account.

As for physical book stores haven't seen any that sells English ones.

I have had good results with Itunes provided you have and Ipod.I really like Audible books,which is an Amazon company and devour lots of current stuff for a nominal monthly subscription.

Finding books in Suzhou is liable to be a challenge.I bring six or eight with me each year and last year frequently borrowed my two neighbors books as well.

What kinds of stuff do you read?I have lots of travelogs,but also like business,psychology and some limited fiction.

Reading has been a great way to pass my ample free time here.

By the way I live in nearby Tai Cang and would love to meet you or some friends in the area for lunch or coffee sometime.

I am the sole foreign teacher at a school here and really need to get out and make some local friends.
