Hello, I am currently doing my A levels in the UK and will go to university in about 2 years time.

I am not 100% sure on what I want to do yet, but I am leaning towards engineering, computing or sciences, most likely petroleum or chemical engineering.

I want to know what the job market is like for these fields, and what sort of specialists the Swiss are in need of.

Also are the British A levels acknowledged in Switzerland? (Doing maths, further maths, physics and chemistry)

I have visited Switzerland a few times and fell in love with it :)

EDIT: I also have similar interests in Austria, should I create a thread in the Austria forum?

Christine

Switzerland has some big international pharma firms, particularly around Basel, so: quite well possible to find a job when you've done education in chemistry and physics.

Hope this helps,
Twan.
