Hi,

is it popular to share a flat in Budapest ?

What advice would you give to those looking for shared accommodation in Budapest?

Can you recommend specialized local websites or newspapers?

By the way, keep in mind there is a flat share/house share section in the Classifieds

I am looking for a female flatmate in my beautiful flat with 1,5 rooms +hall. It is in Óbuda,close to the city center (15 min), in a very nice environment, ideal for someone who is living and working or studying in Hungary. English, German and French is spoken.
Price: HUF 20 000 + half of the overhead expenses

I'm on the same boat as you, trying to find a flat share. One website I found quite useful is roommatesbudapest.com

You can specify budget ranges, rooms needed and (very usefully) which districts of Budapest. No sign up required as well, which is a bonus.
