Hi,

can a foreigner buy property in Czech Republic ?

If so, is it complicated? What is the process of purchasing a property in Czech Republic ?

Any tips for buying property, such as a check-list of items to verify ?

Hi Christine,

It's a long time since oyur post so hopefully you already found answer but just in case my experience was:

I purchase land in the Czech Republic in 2008. Rumours are that the rules have changed but at that time to buy property or land you were required to have a Czech permenant residency permit. Fortunately I am both a EU citizen and married to a Cezch national so getting permenant residency permit was very easy and now I have one in every situation I have encountered it has entitled me to be treated the same as a Czech national.
