Hi,

can a foreigner buy property in Barbados?

If so, is it complicated? What is the process of purchasing a property in Barbados?

Any tips for buying property, such as a check-list of items to verify ?

Thanks in advance for participating!

I'd suggest getting in contact with a real estate agency, they are the ones that make the process simple and smooth. Also an attorney is a must for the differing deeds, and understanding of the entire process.
Mainly you'd have to worry about getting your funds here... but many Banks allow for money transfers up to 70% of the cost of the house. 10% must be paid first (deposit) and an investigation of Title...to ensure there isn't anything that would inhibit the transaction such as unpaid bills, taxes etc...
