Buying property in Nigeria

Post new topic

Christine

Hi,

can a foreigner buy property in Nigeria?

If so, is it complicated? What is the process of purchasing a property in Nigeria?

Any tips for buying property, such as a check-list of items to verify ?

Thanks in advance for participating!

According to Supreme Court Judgement in 2017, It is not legal for Foreigner to buy land or property in Nigeria as foreigner is classified as alien, However a foreigner can legitimately own a land through a company or business registered in Nigeria by Cooperate Affairs Commission.
