I really get mad when i see the foreigners have high salary between 15 to 55 + all kinds of allowance while the citizens get around 2 to 9 per month with no allowance and most of them dont find job and I'm one of them ... I'm unemployment girl .. I have bachelor degree and many other professional programs ,,, LOOKING FOR JOB for 2 YEARS . I sent my C.V in many diverse places with no avail  ...big  thanks to  my country
Riyadh becomes mixture of all nationalities ,, AND WE WELCOME MORE AND MORE PEOPLE WITH BIG SMILE  :)     +_+

MY question is ........ does your country ( whatever it is  ) treat other nationality as KSA does ( prefer foreigner workers than citizen + high salary + allowance ) ?

sandy_storm

YES - It's called the United Kingdom where we open our doors to everyone. We train foreigners at our universities and give them jobs. Those that come to our shores that haven't got work get housing above the natives. They get benefits, food and clothes vouchers. Then send for all the rest of their families to join them. Which again we pay for. You think Saudi is bad, try coming to the U.K. and getting a job.

John Rapahel

not all foreigners here have high salary. like me, i am only receiving 1,300 SR every month. actually, in the philippines 1,300 SR is enough for your 1 month expenses. cheer up!

yalba-ro7ee

sandy thanks for reply ... I wish if I could travel to U.K
by the way I deeply truely love KSA whatever IT DOES .. in return I dont hate it never & ever but I just wanna know WHY IS THAT ? DONT HAVE ANSWER
.... I'm just disappointed & depressed :)
when private sectors prefer foreigners and IF they hire saudi and foreigner in the same position and qualification, they give them  double salary  .....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :|
John :o just 1,300 >>??? with no housing & transportation allowance ............... impossible .. u have to search for better job ...... can I know what is your qualification ?

John Rapahel

no it's true i am only receiving 1,300 rials every month. it's so upsetting. we have a very bad accomodation here and we have our bus to send us in our office. after i finish my contract, i will apply in al amal rehabilitation center for drug addicts here in jeddah because i am a registered nurse. shukran yalba!

John Rapahel

i mean shukran sara!

Hi @yalba-ro7ee,

It's the business value you contribute that is considered to be the key factor of the salary calculation; of course on top of anything else like amount of work, nationality etc. For example, if someone gets 100K, it's coz he delivers much more business value (no matter how many hours he work). That's how his employer decides to pay him that much. And no doubt, this complies with the 'equal-opportunity' global human right.

I can understand the disappointment phase you are passing through. We all have had somehow, somewhere passed though it. Trust me it's hard in the start; but when you are in with some experience, it'll really easy to grow.  Of course, this is your country and you deserve more of opportunities. May Allah bless you.

John Rapahel

to thelegendleads: You are a pakistani but you are so eloquent in english! I seldom see pakistani who can speak english well! Bravo!

yalba-ro7ee

aha ok I understand it now thank u TheLegendLeads

Thanks @yalba-ro7ee and @John Rapahel

@yalba im sorry that you are going through this. back home in south africa you have to be a certain colour to get a job. i.e black. and if you not you often land up unemployed for months before you find anything.

basically what im trying to say is that the grass is not always greener on the other side. and no matter what country you from politicians always mess it up for the rest of us.

good luck with job hunt. hope you manage to find something be it here or outside :)

yalba-ro7ee

shy_star thanks for your nice reply

In Egypt it happens some times, but we have another thing also, if you have connections then every thing is easy (but this was before the revolution of course) I'm waiting for my vacation to see how things work there now. My family tells that things are getting better but, we will see!!!

OK this may not go well with the flow here but we have to be honest here (nothing personal):

1. "Of course, this is your country and you deserve more of opportunities"

Here is the stem of the problem, why do you think, because you are a native of KSA or any other country, you deserve to have better salaries etc? If you a conformist this will be hard, to get, for you.

This is absolutely nonsense and frankly would be unjust and unfair. If this happens, of course , you'll be happy and not complain but you wouldn't, on the other hand, either care about expats who travel thousands of miles to try and make a living ... would you now!.

Would you then try and fight for foreigners' rights? sounds funny, no? But guess what, if we all fight for our rights natives or not life will improve for everyone!

Seeing oneself as deserving more than the next guy walking down the street is the problem & this self-centred thinking is the ill of humanity!

So, where do we stop (the inequality). To me everyone is equal native or not because “nationalities” are false idols and made up thing to divide & conquer.

You care about making a living but do you care about your country’s other policies (where you stand for the right thing regardless)? What kind of a “patriot” that make you by been aloof to everything else?

We are all humans and everyone should stand on their own merit and no favouritism should be involved.

When it comes to KSA (natives), frankly incompetence and arrogance are the norm & that's why private companies hire foreigners who do better jobs and respect their work (including customers/clients) instead of natives who have no respect for work at all & do what whatever they want because , you've guessed it, they are Saudis & think they are the boss even as a doorman!.

I am pretty sure everyone here had many experiences of this sort.

The issue then is not what “I” deserve but who fits the job better. A foreigner will get , if fairly treated, x2 or even x3 times his average salary back home and this is clear since why would anyone travel so far etc to just get the same or less salary as back home? Why the envy? and guess what Saudis are guaranteed a min of $3000 SAR/moth by law regardless ... where foreigners are not even though the cost of living is in the rise for everyone.

In fact the majority of foreigners get less than what they actually deserve based on their experience/education. They might however get better than what they get back home (for neighbouring Arab/Asian countries & specially lower jobs) because those countries are well ... like the whole of the middle east have no human/workers' rights.

2. You say: “by the way I deeply truely love KSA whatever IT DOES .. in return I dont hate it never & ever “

Here is the main problem! What that supposed to mean? If you are a Muslim then you are going against your religion by “loving” any entity blindly.

This is utter hypocrisy & conformism! But hey we all know there is no such as free speech here. If you are a women then tough luck! How can you love any place that treat women this way!

If not for oil no one will even be talking about KSA (basically a desert) ! And that's the truth.

So, to me, Saudis are in no place to complain ... they should be thankful that people actually come here and sacrifice years of their lives to make your country better without getting much in return as immigrants (they are called here “wafedeen” so not to give them immigrants' rights or status ...

I mean, where in the world do you find such thing as “Saudisim”where the government force the private sector etc to hire & take in ~ %30 Saudis in place of non-Saudis !? I mean companies will actually get shut down for non-compliance! And many Saudis take advantage of this by actually getting paid by companies salaries while not actually going to work! Thus a company can sustain it's competitive edge/quality without getting penalized ...

It's like forcing someone to marry someone else! And guess what there are actually laws here forbidden Saudis from marrying non-Saudis! At the least it's ridden with difficulty (your kids are not guaranteed citizenship) and you have to get the approval of the interior ministry (long process)! How ironic!

You have well-fair here too like $2000 SAR/month & many other things for Saudis.

So, just be thankful!

My solution to you:

You can actually start a business easily here for been a Saudi! You can get up to $2000,000 SAR to start a business as a bank loan!

Sad thing is, because only Saudis can open a business here (minus big investments by foreigners) many get to be a “name partner” meaning a foreigner builds a business but uses a Saudi name & the Saudi gets $$$ in return for that!

Many do that, but only few actually make real partnerships. Many times a Saudi takes over the business establishment once it becomes successful & the foreigner losses everything and can't do anything about it too.

Because of the laws here, many Saudis get to make lots of $$$ off foreigners just because the foreigner is not a Saudi and can't do many things without a Saudi been a middle man!

Just wow!

OK this may not go well with the flow here but we have to be honest here (nothing personal):

1. "Of course, this is your country and you deserve more of opportunities"

yes of course WITH NO DOUBT !!!

Here is the stem of the problem, why do you think, because you are a native of KSA or any other country, you deserve to have better salaries etc? If you a conformist this will be hard, to get, for you.

because it is my country .. they have to prefer saudiS then look
to other nationalities

This is absolutely nonsense and frankly would be unjust and unfair. If this happens, of course , you'll be happy and not complain but you wouldn't, on the other hand, either care about expats who travel thousands of miles to try and make a living ... would you now!.

no one forces them to come here !!!

Would you then try and fight for foreigners' rights? sounds funny, no? But guess what, if we all fight for our rights natives or not life will improve for everyone!

I will fight for respectful foreigners who respect citizens not for some one who hates us ,,,,,,!!!!

Seeing oneself as deserving more than the next guy walking down the street is the problem & this self-centred thinking is the ill of humanity!

I deserve more because it is MY COUNTRY and the companies here pay double salary for the foreigners while in the UAE, they prefer thier citizens and give them more

So, where do we stop (the inequality). To me everyone is equal native or not because “nationalities” are false idols and made up thing to divide & conquer.

if I'm in Canada and u see me hire in the most biggest company there with high salary+allowances while u r at home and u dont find any job coz they think that u r lazy, unrespectable for job, and  idiot with out knowing u ... u will know why i said that

You care about making a living but do you care about your country’s other policies (where you stand for the right thing regardless)? What kind of a “patriot” that make you by been aloof to everything else?

?

We are all humans and everyone should stand on their own merit and no favouritism should be involved.

may be you are right ...  but say this to the  private companies NO FAVOURISM and everyone has the same salay if we are in the same position and qualification and thay all  have oppertunity to have job !!!

When it comes to KSA (natives), frankly incompetence and arrogance are the norm & that's why private companies hire foreigners who do better jobs and respect their work (including customers/clients) instead of natives who have no respect for work at all & do what whatever they want because , you've guessed it, they are Saudis & think they are the boss even as a doorman!.

what shit!!! that's not true AT ALL .... there are a lot of citizens who love their work and respect it

I am pretty sure everyone here had many experiences of this sort.

it is not envy but I just wanna know WHY ... while in the other cuntries, they prefer their citizens

In fact the majority of foreigners get less than what they actually deserve based on their experience/education. sorry why am i goning against my religion >>>???

This is utter hypocrisy & conformism! But hey we all know there is no such as free speech here. If you are a women then tough luck! How can you love any place that treat women this way!

heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey wake up ........ I do love my country so much and what they do for us ??? they treat us in fair and respect way  ....  just coz we dont have right to drive ?>>> or what ??????????????????????????

If not for oil no one will even be talking about KSA (basically a desert) ! And that's the truth.

not truth ... we have everything and we are muslim and we are satisfied with our life here ... thanks God that i'm saudi and muslim ,,, we dont wanna bars, night clubs, vodka ,and bitches filling with HIV and walking in the street all the time !!

So, to me, Saudis are in no place to complain ... they should be thankful that people actually come here and sacrifice years of their lives to make your country better without getting much in return as immigrants (they are called here “wafedeen” so not to give them immigrants' rights or status ...

thankful for the respectable workers who love the country not hate it !!! some one like u should fire and dont give him  even one riyal !!!
by the way I know some girls who study in prince nora university and thy said they  have canadian teacher who is not professional , does not know how to teach , absent and late while the saudi teacher who is not native English speaker teaches better and respect her students and class more

i get tired and I will not continue replying for nonsense words ,,,

any way thanks for your  lovely reply and  NOW really  I assured that citizens SHOULD  have jobs and kick out the rude foriengers who dont deserve to live here and see nothing about KSA
