It looks like you don't have a car!! Friends are always difficult to find. Individualism is now sweeping the society which makes it worse.

Anyway, the best way to find friends is to look for people whom you share the same interests; a chess mate as an example. Perhaps what makes "friends" go away is that they don't find anything new with the people whom they meet.

You said you want people whom you can talk with; is that all what you have? This is clearly and generally what makes people stop seeing others--they get tired of repeating the "activity" of sitting down and talking.

So what do you have special to make friends stick to meeting you; this is the question!!
