Where do the expats in your community come from?

I am curious as to where everyone is coming from that have come to Belize to live. Are you mostly Americans? Brits? Or perhaps a real mix from all over the globe? I was looking for stats but can't seem to find the breakdown. And is it generally the same mix in all districts or is it different per district?

HI Armand, thanks, wow what a mix. I love all the influences. Since it doesn't have numbers, do you have a feel for which groups dominate the expat population?

Hi Miss Gail. It\'s interesting to note that there are only 3,943 U.S. & Canadian-born nationals residing in Belize (according to the last census). I suspect some of those are snow birds too. Conversely, there are around 40,000 in Costa Rica & 2,500,000 in Mexico.

There is also a large British, Chinese, and Indian population in Belize. Hope that\'s helpful. Sharon Hiebing
