thats a very broad subject, narrow it down a bit; natural science? molecular science? chemical science? teaching science? reading about science?

It's giving you hard time because you don't create interest, Although there are lotta problems associated with students difficulties in the learning of maths, these include: Student readiness to learn, Teachers teaching methodology, Teachers-Student relationship, Motivation e.t.c. But to be honest with you, Mathematics is the simplest of all subjects if you create interest to learn it!
