Water Purification

Hi, Everyone!

My husband and I will be moving to Addis to teach for five months from early August 2009 through early January 2010. I'm trying to pack properly for the trip, and I'm wondering whether it would be worthwhile to invest in a good water filtration system before I leave the USA.

The place we're staying doesn't have a water filter so far as we know, so we'd have to plan on boiling (or buying) all of our water otherwise. Because of some health issues I have presently, I want to make very certain that the water is as pure as possible.

Any thoughts on this? Any suggestions on what sort of system to buy, if you do recommend bringing one along?

Thanks for any advice you can give!

Thanks for the information! This is very helpful to know, since we don't have much room in our luggage. We'll check this out if we need one!
