london_boy

has anyone found anything to do in this country yet? this is by far the most boring place I've ever been to

Beey7

Hey London_boy

it depends on what you like to do.

Siteseeing - drive to the desert, dune bashing, quadbikes, camping or drive to the top of Qatar. Islamic art museum, walk along the corniche or go on a boat trip. Visit the souqs (there are many) enjoy the food and a shisha.

Clubs - paloma, lava and belgian bar(intercon), wahm and crystal (w hotel), qube, bubbles and sports bar (ramada), admirals (ritz) and pearl (marriott)and the rugby club (next to doha college)

Sports - Rugby, hockey, ice hockey, football, Gaelic football, sailing, fishing, diving, snorkling, bowling, snooker, golf (if you call that a sport) etc

Have a BBQ, cinema night, games night, pub quiz or boys night in (poker, action films etc :D)

I have arranged a get together on the forum for a game of bowling on fri, you are more than wlelcome to join us :)

There are things to do, you just have to sometimes make your own entertainment :)

Hi all! I am also new here. Though I find it more interesting than the place I've been before-KSA. I feel I still want to add activities so as not to get bored, and of course meet new friends. My line is open if you'd like to (just in case) . Hope everyone gets a great experience with their stay in Doha. ;)

Hi Jess,

I am an Australian and relatively new to Qatar. I'm also looking to meet new friends. Send me a message if you'd like to catch up for a coffee or drink sometime.

Lavari

Hi,

Are u still in Doha

Optimus_Prime

I will be living and working in Doha from 01/10/12.

So if you need a friend then let me know. I also will be going to the mentioned open Mic night at the "Irish Harp" in the Sheraton Hotel on  03/10/12. Seems like a good place to start networking with other expats.
