New post on Lottie's blog

Post new topic

lottienevin

Hi all

I've just posted my new blog for today on lottienevin.com

It's called' An Apple A Day' and it's not for the faint hearted or squeamish!

I'd love to hear other expats experiences of their life here and how they cope
with everyday things. Please do feel free to leave comments.  I'm busy working my way
through reading all the other blogs on this site. They are all excellent.

I've just taken a moment to read some of your older posts.
Pretty good stuff.
It sounds a lot like you're the top end of foreigners who spend a lot less time in English pubs and a lot longer finding out about the place you've decided to live in.
You'll find out more in a couple of months than the disease story vending bod will ever know.
I still use bottled water to clean my tooth but street food is great.

Thanks for your comments - I appreciate you stopping by and taking the time to read the blog
and I'm glad that you are enjoying it. We all have a different take on our experience here and this is just mine. I'm still very ignorant about a lot of things but I'm learning something new everyday.
.
I am ashamed to say that my bahasa is not much better than it was 2 months ago. Learning the
language is key - I love talking to people and at the moment it frustrates me that my vocabulary isnt adequate enough even to have a basic conversation......

i would love to learn to cook the food properly and learn all about the spices, herbs etc

Ah, so much to do and learn! Stop by again! and again thanks for your comment. Lottie
