Anyone know where the Chinese restaurant moved to that used to be on the corner of Le Loi and Nam Ky Khoi Nghia streets? Has it moved or just gone to the ages? Or can I find a similar restaurant in district 1?

The very, very best restaurant foe special occasions is the one on the 6th Floor in the Hung Vuong Plaza but it;s in District 5. the short taxi rude is well worth it.

There us a good Chinese restaurant on Ham Nghi, nearby the Liberty  (and on the same side).

Easily the worst Chinese restaurant is the slop house next to the Caravelle Hotel, what we call a "chop suey" restaurant that sells everything a Westerner expects (chicken balls, egg drop soup, etc).

Remember, with Chinese restaurants the decor is not an indicator of food quality.

I have eaten Chinese food for most of my life, so I have a little experience to make judgements on flavour.

The best area is Q10, I even found a restaurant that served fried milk last month.

Take that taxi ride if it's a special occasion (and a bit fatter wallet than usual).
