English is a language that can be learnt in a variety of ways. lets face it, its the most popular language in the world (think Media - news, movies, music etc) and its all around us on a daily basis.

the best way to pick up English is through ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT with the language! u do not need an instructor for English - listen to the radio and sing along, keep up with the tempo to get the pronunciation right, watch movies and dont read the subtitles, or better yet, watch movies on your PC and get english subtitles! that way u are engaging two senses instead of just one; viewing and listening.

read the news in English - whether its local like Arab Times or international like the BBC.
