Hi all,

We invite all the ones who got married in Germany or who are about to get married in Germany to participate in this thread :)

What are the formalities to get married in Germany? Is it the same for a couple of foreigners of for a mixed couple (between a foreigner and a native of Germany)?

Are the procedures complicated?

How long does it take to carry out all the formalities?

Thank you in advance for participating,

Armand

not really complicated as long as you are in Germany already. just easy, go to the city hall or rathaus nearby were u are living. show your passport and ask for a date available. in my case we set the date hence not so many are thrilled to marry. lol. if both or other party is a foreigner you need a translator. just that easy. getting in germany is harder. good luck
