Finding an apartment/villa

Post new topic

Princess sunshine

We've found an area that we'd like to stay in (exit 10).
If we meet up with an aqari to help find the actual accommodation, more or less what would his charges be???

TheLegendLeads

He'll charge annually on signing/renewing contract. 1000 SAR to 1500 per year. Mine charges 1200 SAR. But that's the ONLY payment you have to do to any 3rd parties.

Princess sunshine

Excellent!! Thank you!!!

TheLegendLeads

You're welcome.
No rules ever written for Aqari commissions whatsoever. DO negotiate.

RedGoblin

and negotiate on the rents as well!! They will try to rip you off!!
:D

The law in Saudi Arabia states that the commission is 5% of the annual contract if it is rental and 2.5% on sales so if there's anybody that charges more than that, do not agree as this is ripping you off of your money.

Princess sunshine

Thanks all!!
So is it then possible to rent a villa without the help of an aqari??

TheLegendLeads

Yes, why not?
If you get a direct contact with the owner, you can. But the house owners too prefer the deals through the Aqar office so that they don't have to prepare contracts, listen to the problems....etc etc

TLL is once again right on the money! You can deal with the owner/developer directly if you manage to get their contact number but as TLL has stated most of them would rather deal through real estate companies as it provides them with ease of mind regarding contract arrangements, issues and customer service.
