New here but long time in Stuttgart

Post new topic

TominStuttgart

Hi,I am new to this site but have been living in Stuttgart since 2001 and in the area since about 1984. I am best known for doing clown/juggling shows on the Schlossplatz when the weather is good on the weekend and I have no paying gig. I grew up in Dayton, Ohio but left the States to work as a performer in Europe and to travel the world. If one has any questions about Stuttgart, street performing, juggling, travel, photography, taekwondo - just let me know.

Hi Tomin,

I have just stumbled on this post :) and would really want to know more about moving to Germany, specifically Stuttgart.

Planning to move to this particular city the following weeks, I'm interested in everything that makes life more enjoyable in there ( cultural events, art, evangelical world); and also about becoming socially involved.

Anything that crosses your mind about it, would be much appreciated !

Thank you !  :)

You posted on a thread that as inactive since 2012.
But I can try to answer your questions:

- everything that makes life more enjoyable in there ( cultural events, art, evangelical world)
Stuttgart is a culturally very diverse and active city - you won't find a lack of things to do or enjoy!
However, Germans being mostly non-religious nowadays, the "evangelical world" you mention might just be for a minority.

- and also about becoming socially involved.
There are lots of possibilities for volunteer involvement, right now especially at the many temporary camps for asylum seekers due to the current refugee inflow.

If you have any other question about Stuttgart, please post it here or send me a message.

Do you already have accommodation? If not, that might be your biggest initial challenge!

Well that is a VERY broad question, so it is hard to know where to begin. I am listing some websites that give information about Stuttgart. Once you have looked through them and have more specific questions then feel free to ask.
