I'd be happy to give you a hand as long as it won't take some ungodly length of time.  How many pages is it?

That's why I didn't agree yet!  First I need to know the number of pages, and then I need to see a sample page.  If the 'proof-reading' means a complete rewrite, that's me you'll see running for the door

My experience has been that often times it's easier (and faster) to just rewrite than to try to edit.

HOWEVER ...  that's not to say I'm going to even do it.  Need to see that sample and know the number of pages first!

Well I tried to stay within the parameters of his writing style and only adjust any grammar issues.  He actually did a very good job so this was entirely possible!
